Safety News
In August of 2008, Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) into law. The main focus of this law is to insure that children's products are certified based on tests affirming they comply with current federal regulations, and to establish an audit trail to track/recall merchandise that may not be safe or comply with current regulations.
All products manufactured after November 12, 2008 must comply with a new set of safety standards as it pertains to the lead paint ban, small parts requirements, and a number of other guidelines.
The main goal is a new level of safety for our consumers. In the next three years, new guidelines will come into effect, and J.Rousek Toy Co., Inc. is firmly committed to meeting or exceeding the new standards. As of now, we are in compliance with all federal laws, and will continue to be compliant with all guidelines as they change in the future.
In the interest of staying on top of all regulations, portions of our merchandise will be out of stock from time to time for the purpose of rigorous inspection at testing facilities. We appreciate your patience as we strive to be ahead of the curve in this endeavor.
